How to do this exercise
- Step:1 Set a pulley to the lowest position and attach a simple handle.
- Step:2 Stand next to the machine, grasp the handle with the hand farthest from the pulley.
- Step:3 Grasp the machine leg with your free hand and move your feet away from the machine leg, then lean your body outward (approximately 15 to 30 degree tilt).
- Step:4 Keep the working arm slightly bent and hold the cable passing in front of your body or slightly behind (depending on your comfort).
- Step:5 Raise the arm laterally until it is parallel to the floor, leading the movement with the elbow.
- Step:6 Pause briefly at the top of the contraction, then lower the handle slowly, controlling the resistance of the cable.
- Step:7 Keep the shoulder low throughout the movement to prevent the trapezius from taking over.
