How to do this exercise
- Step:1 Assume a very wide stance (wider than a Sumo squat), with your toes pointing slightly outward.
- Step:2 Shift your weight to one leg by bending your knee and pushing your hips back.
- Step:3 Keep the other leg perfectly straight. As you descend, rotate the foot of the straight leg onto the heel so that the toes are pointing toward the ceiling.
- Step:4 Go down as low as possible, ideally until your butt touches your heel of the supporting leg, while keeping your torso as vertical as possible.
- Step:5 Make sure the heel of the bent leg remains flat on the ground.
- Step:6 Push hard on your supporting leg to return to the central position or move directly to the other side while remaining low ('slider' version).
- Step:7 Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
